Camera angles in photography are very important to add more life to picture that you are taking. A well place angle can say nothing or everything about the picture. Though it may mean different from one person to another, but it generally means the way a photo is taken. It can also be taken as the angle between the subject and camera when the picture is taken.

anglesEven the slightest camera angles in photography can create a great impact and create more feeling and drama to the images that you want to show. Whether you are looking at a picture generally or viewing it from a specific point of view, the angle of how the image was taken can make you pop your eyes in awe or make you yawn and move on.

Here are the most common camera angles in photography. The eye-level which is how we take a picture normally and would show the images as you see them in real life. Eye-level pictures are like those you take at school class pictures where everybody sits straight and everything is in order. If the image is shown from above or if the picture was taken a few degrees from above the subject, this is called high angle. Its like a very tall man looking down at a shorter man.

There is also the low angle where the photo is taken while looking up on the subject. This would make the subject look taller or bigger. An example of this would be to take a picture of a tall building just outside the door looking up.

The angle that is used for maps is called the birds eye view. This is taken directly above the subject that may create a dramatic effect like the viewer is like a bird in flight hence the name and a view from a different perspective. This angle is usually used in documentaries and or sports to give you a clear view of everything that is happening. There is also the slanted angle which is commonly used to take wacky pictures and or create a more dramatic effect. This can be characterized by looking at the horizon if it is slanted or any tilted background object that should be upright. The effect of this angle may create the impression that the image may fall of the side.

Using camera angles in photography makes it more exciting and adds life to the images that you capture. Instead of making it looks like a standard private school class picture where everything is prim, proper and somewhat boring. It would help to experiment with the camera angels in photography. In taking pictures or videos, camera angles in photography is very important as it show the story of the images taken.

Having a bad angle in what supposed to be a great shot can ruin everything. Imagine taking an eye-level shot with objects on the way or blocking your subject, or trying to take a birds eye shot from a plane on a cloudy day.

In choosing the camera angles in photography, where to shoot from is not the only thing you need to consider. You need to make sure that the frame of your camera would take all that you want to take. You need to also take into consideration how far you are from the subject, like how low angle shots work a lot better in close-ups and how birds eye or slanted angles works better on long shots. You also need to make sure that you count for the movement of the subject.

Instructional books or magazines can be seen on bookstores or public libraries. You can also browse the Internet for instructional videos on camera angles in photography.

Absolutely yes, the angle of the photo very much decides the best picture or not. It all depends on the picture you take. Normally flowers taken from top angle works great.
